Robin Walters is a filmmaker, photographer and author with three decades behind the camera and a photographer’s instinct for people. His eye was shaped first through still photography, and it carries into everything he directs: the read of a face, the weight of a held moment, the honesty he finds in both.His range is where the depth shows.

On one side, warm and genuinely funny brand work for KFC, Westpac, L&P, Weet-Bix and Meadow Fresh. On the other, some of the country’s most important public-good storytelling, for Corrections, NZTA, the Census, Civil Defence and Safer Gambling, handled with the care those stories demand. He directs people, not performances, and whether the work is tender or quietly hilarious, it always feels true.

One of the most perceptive directors working across Australasia and the Asia Pacific, Robin brings deep respect to every story he tells. Thirty years in, the craft is instinctive and the curiosity is undimmed.
